An Unethical House Ethics Committee
The NYT reported today that the House ethics committee has made it easier for lobbyists to give money, indirectly, to members of Congress. The rule's loophole allows for lobbyists to give to groups associated with a member. According to the editorial, "Instead of 'honoring Representative Bob Forehead,' why not do the ethical thing and 'honor Representative Bob Forehead’s state delegation' with an even bigger blast?"
If this incompetent ethics committee doesn't have the foresight of possible loopholes, maybe the House should organize another committee to look at eliminating loopholes in the rules passed by the first moronic committee? My God!
