McCain Suspends Campaign! Now What?

What will happen now that McCain has announced as of tomorrow he will suspend his campaign and head back to Washington to deal with the financial crisis facing America? And, even though he has asked Obama to delay the debates, what will he do if Obama says no?

TPM asked some great questions today too: "Will all of McCain's ads come down? Will the campaign stop sending out statements? Will campaign aides all leave headquarters and turn out the lights?" It's not yet clear as to what this suspension means to the campaign. I imagine it's one more diversion meant to avoid the press. Not only so, but McCain has seen a drastic dip in the polls since this financial mess reared it's ugly head. I'd like to naively rejoice and think it's because at this point he sees no chance of victory and is simply giving up. Who knows, but for anyone to ask whether or not this is a political ploy, OF COURSE IT IS!!! Come on now.
