Misdirected Anger

The AFL/CIO is at it again, bashing WalMart and the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) for corrupting legislatures, claiming they have undermined America’s security by working to defeat or weaken new rules to make America’s seaports and supply chains safe from terrorist attacks. Is this true? Absoutely!

But the blame or anger over weak port security, or lack thereof, should not be targeted at WalMart or RILA, or their lobbying habits, but instead at the congressmen and women who allow themselves to be manipulated and controlled by money and big business. Congressmen and women have a history of playing into the hands of benjamin wielding corporate America, completely ignoring voters. Blame congress!
